South of France and Corsica

The South of France’s Mediterranean coast stretches from Spain to Italy, and doesn’t disappoint for the entire way.

In the West, long sandy beaches backed by lively and modern resorts stretch from the Camargue to the Spanish border, whilst inland, grand castles and ancient monuments highlight this region’s history and riches. The fortified fairy-tale city of Carcassonne is unmissable. For many, the safe sandy beaches around Argelès and Vias are the stars of the show, with warm Mediterranean waters perfect for all kinds of watersports. Close to Argelès the historic port of Collioure has been an inspiration to artists for over 100 years.

On the French Riviera or Cote d’Azur, you can share playgrounds of the rich and famous – Saint Tropez, Cannes, Nice, Monaco… the names just trip off the tongue. But beyond the glitz is a perfect holiday region with a stunning coastline and landscape for exploring and activities including watersports, walking, biking and riding. Inland, Provence is where you’ll find lavender fields, spectacular perched villages and amazing food. From canoeing in the Gorges du Verdon to cycling famous Mont Ventoux, it’s a mix of beauty and adventure.
