The Caribbean can be closer than you think, with opportunities for fantastic value holidays to Guadeloupe and Martinique! An amazing opportunity to experience a tropical paradise with the ease of a holiday in France… because they are France!
As well as their French heritage, Guadeloupe and Martinique share a fantastic year-round climate, a truly warm welcome and an authentic laid back atmosphere. Both islands are ringed by amazing palm-fringed white sand beaches with lush rain forest interiors to explore. They have a rich sense of history and their own ongoing stories, revolving around agriculture, the sea, Carnival time and rum!
Martinique and Guadeloupe holidays are ideal at virtually any time of the year, and could make fantastic choices in the shorter school holidays and low-season periods. Planning dates carefully can make all the difference to the cost of the holiday, by allowing you to find the cheapest flights.
High quality scheduled flights to either island are available daily with Air France, from London, Manchester or Edinburgh, via Paris. In May and June, adult prices are around £550 – £650 return, or about £80 more to explore both islands by flying into one and returning from the other, including a mid-stay shuttle flight and a ‘free’ day in Paris, as we did.
Visiting both islands in one trip is a real option, with our flexible arrival dates and only a short shuttle flight between them. And it needn’t break the bank, with prices set for locals and French visitors, rather than the more showy Brits, for whom these islands have remained largely undiscovered and unspoilt. Our holidays in Guadeloupe are based near the attractive town of Sainte Anne, and our holidays in Martinique, near Sainte Luce.
